You deserve to be your best self
It’s not too late to prioritize your wellness, no matter how old you are or what challenges you face. You deserve to be the best you can be. When you feel good, you can do good. When you feel strong, you can share your strength with others. When you are confident in your choices, you can share your insights with others. When you get out of the house and active, you can help your neighbors, your family, and continue to make smart choices for your wellness.
You can put yourself first, in order to work on your health. That means eating the right things, exercising, staying positive, protecting yourself from negative environments. These can be hard things to do for some. You may even doubt if you are worth so much effort. You are. Many Bible verses help us see that God wants us to be our best.
The Bible tells us the best versions of ourselves require effort. Love, kindness, understanding, humility and faith are always among the qualities we should strive for.
Embracing Love and Kindness
One of the greatest commandments we are given is to love. This love extends not just to those around us—but to ourselves as wel. We need to care about ourselves, nurture ourselves. Love is a transformative power—as thousands of love songs, romance novels and rom-com movies illsutrate. Recognizing the importance of love encourages us to be commissionate and empathize with others.

Practicing humility is another way to improve ourselves
The Bible teaches us that true greatness comes from a humble heart. Recognizing our limitations is a step to becoming our best selves. Humility allows us to realize we may need help. He can’t do everything ourselves. We can accept guidance and resouces.
Philippians 2:3“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
Seeking Wisdom
Being our best involves continuous learning, no matter our age. Learning can take many shapes. The Bible encourages us to strive to understand the teachings of Christ. Bible study isn’t done once and checked off as completed. Even great scholars continue to read and reflect on meaning and the messages of the Bible for decades. By leaning on God’s teachings, we can make sound decisions. We can make smart choices. We can stand up for just causes. there are many resources, many places to turn, from church to libraries, classes, small groups, and online apps.

Having faith is also important to your improved well being
Walking in faith means you don’t have to dwell on the small obstacles, because you know God will be there to help. Faith fosters resilience and trust, even when you hit challenges, like a diagnosis you dreaded, a loss, a terrifying financial challenge, or a breakup. Resilience helps you think through the issues clearly, find feasable solutions, and take steps.
Faith means we know we will find the right course and it helps us take the next important steps.
